One of the shows during our journey on the largest cruise liner in the world – Wonder of the Seas – was a performance by the famous magician and illusionist Jamie Allan.
Carefully tearing a newspaper right before our eyes and deliberately bringing the microphone closer to it so we could all hear the sound of ripping paper, he said a brilliant phrase:
– If you see and hear, then you believe.
Then he simply unfolded an entirely intact newspaper, with no tears anywhere.
I’ll leave it to you, friends, to grasp the depth of this phrase (especially in the context of current events).
