This is when you see faces of people, animals, or other creatures in objects. Some say it’s a mental disorder. Well then… Welcome to the ward!

In fairness, the same Wikipedia article reports that “Perception of pareidolia by mentally healthy people is accompanied by an understanding of this phenomenon as a ‘game of imagination,’ whereas in psychotic disorders, there is a belief in its reality.”

These amusing objects were also photographed in Cyprus, in Paphos, near Geroskipou beach. Sending greetings to this wonderful island where I lived for 5 years.

By the way, Wikipedia (link at the beginning of this post) tells us that pareidolia often occurs in the initial stages of acute psychoses with clouding of consciousness, such as alcoholic delirium. It’s nice to rejoice that I quit drinking long ago… 🙂

The next guest of our “Pareidolia” program is from Egypt. After finishing our Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan, we flew to Cairo, where in Giza we saw this.
